Prenatal Care--Choosing a Provider

Congratulations!
We believe the birth of your child is a moment to treasure. The journey to motherhood/parenthood can be a daunting one. Good care is integral to a positive outcome.
We realize that the process of choosing a caregiver should be taken very serioiusly.  We feel that you can but your trust in us. We are also pretty amiable!

At Femina Women's Center in Greensboro we are a small group practice with two providers.  We have priviledges at The Women's Hospital of Greensboro, your baby's birthplace.  Constant coverage is provided by three physicians--crosscoverage is provided by a third doctor who is in a solo practice. Should you require high risk care, you will be managed collaboratively with a maternal-fetal medicine specialist. Although you will have a primary doctor from the practice, you will receive care from the other doctor from time to time.  We cannot guarantee that your primary doctor will deliver your baby, but we strive for continuity of care to accomodate our patients whenever possible.

At present we do not have any health professionals i.e., mid-level providers, on staff. Our cesarean rate tends to be lower than the hospital's rate. We are of the mindset that your chilbirth experience should be less clinical, more natural.  We invite you take ownership of this special day!

Trying to settle on a provider? We encourage appointments for interviews with us.
Best wishes for a healthy baby and mother!
Please bring pictures of your newborn to us to put on our “Brag Board”.
