"I find the people at Femina Women's Center to be so helpful and compassionate, something I rarely see anymore. At other offices I have been to, you have to wait so long to get an appointment, then sit in the waiting room for hours. Then the doctor sees you and rushes out the door in five minutes.  This is not the case at Femina.  My husband and I have been through two miscarriages with Dr. Jackson-Moore. When I first called saying I was having complications, they got me right in both times.  Once we determined what was happening, I can honestly say that Dr. Jackson-Moore gave me all the time I needed to take in the heart-breaking news.  She and her staff hugged me and listened to me and really made me feel like they cared about what I was going through.  I got pregnant again and Dr. Jackson-Moore insisted that I see her EVERY week.  That is unheard of in your first Tri-mester; you usually have to wait until you reach 12 weeks just to be seen the first time. Dr. Jackson-Moore made me feel important and that she cared. They have ALL been wonderful!  I have never been more impressed with a doctor's office staff than I have with Femina, and I am a nurse."

" When I first came to Femina I had severe Hyperemersis that was previously undiagnosed and undertreated. The doctor I was previously with wrote me off like something was crazy with me. This doctor thought it was just morning sickness, but I was really sick. I had already lost 20 lbs. and I was already a mother of three. I just felt like nobody was willing to help me or listen to me and my sickness grew making me feel like I wanted to die! Then God willing I happened to watch Dr. Phil (which I rarely do) and that same day he had a lady on his show describing me to a ‘T!’ I had heard a lot of good things about Femina so I decided to give them a call. I saw Dr. Harper and the research they made sure was done on my blood work made him authorize me to be hospitalized immediately.

My body was fighting off the baby like a virus and I was on a liquid diet with a nurse checking on me every day. I gradually gained some of my appetite back thanks to Dr. Harper’s care and genuine concern for me. During my hospitalization Dr. Harper took time with me, sat down with me, and even lent his ear to hear me talk about everything that bothered me. I felt like I was his daughter, and Dr. Harper’s concern made me feel really special. Even after I left the hospital Dr. Harper followed up with me at home. At my home! He called me. When I was under his care Dr. Harper always made time for me and made it seem like this was his first baby to deliver. I never had to re-explain anything to him. He remembered everything we discussed in conference discussions.

Let me explain how Dr. Harper’s fast thinking saved my life and my baby’s: I was induced in October 2007 and the birth went fine as hoped for. But my placenta was stuck to my uterus. Dr. Harper was very calm in a very stressful situation that came very intense very fast! I helped push my placenta out with not taking any pain medication and it came out causing me to bleed very fast due to my uterus abrupting. Dr. Harper’s fast thinking saved me; I then hemorrhaged and got emergency surgery. During this time Dr. Harper was holding my hand the whole time. I kept saying to Dr. Harper, "Don’t let me die." Dr. Harper was so professional and caring during this whole frightening experience all the while still holding my hand. Dr. Harper just became family. He is family. He was before my ordeal while giving birth. Now he is an angelic figure for my family and me and will be for the rest of our lives. This journey has made me a better mother. Dr. Harper at Femina Women’s Center is the best thing that happened to my family and me. He not only saved my life but my motherhood. I now look at life as a gift from God."
